Trinity Middle School’s Most Hateful

The United States State Department designated Hamas a terror group in 1997. The European Union has done the same.

So why is Principal Jason Ford telling parents that students should come to their own conclusions about Hamas?

Ford is the Middle School Principal Trinity School in New York City. That’s right, instead of trusting the U.S. and the European Union, he wants middle schoolers to determine for themselves whether a group that has committed acts of terrorism that left thousands dead is a terrorist group.

“Are you clear with the kids that Hamas is a terrorist organization?” You mentioned they’re a group,” said one unnamed parent in a recording obtained by The New York Post.

Ford responded that ‘language is important. I have talked to them and said there are ways in which Hamas is viewed as a terrorist organization, part of it is I want it to be the case that they get to make their own conclusions,’” the Post reported.

The school “did not respond to whether they would also allow students a similarly interpretive range for ISIS or Al-Qaeda.”

This is a private school for which parents are spending $64,000 a year in tuition. It has been repeatedly named best private school in New York City, and its graduates go on to the very elite institutions where antisemitism is thriving.

This is just a small snapshot of what is being taught by Ford and the educators he leads. He earned his master’s degree in private school leadership from Columbia University, where we have seen some of the worst proliferation of antisemitism.

Go to Columbia, bring the teachings that have to violence back to some of the most privileged students in the country. Let those students use the school’s reputation and connections to get into these same elite institutions. The cycle will continue until it is broken.
